Brendan Fitzgerald – Director
Brendan graduated with a double degree in Accountancy and Management from QUT, and established his career in investment banking in a number of senior middle office roles in Sydney and London with JP Morgan, Bankers Trust, and Macquarie. He moved into recruitment in 2000 and spent 10 years as a Director of GOW Recruitment Sydney where he started and ran the Contracting Operations Division. Brendan co-founded FJR in Sydney in 2011, and brings a high level of technical knowledge along with an extensive network across the Operations, Broking, and Risk & Compliance markets.
Brendan speaks conversational Mandarin, and puts this to use when sourcing candidates from the APAC market, where he travels regularly.
Outside of the office Brendan is a Cronulla Sharks season ticket holder, and a member of St Michaels Golf Club.
Tim Jenkins – Director
Tim graduated from Sydney University with a BA (Honours, French) & M.Commerce, and began his career as a research analyst covering Australian stocks as part of the AXA Group in Sydney. He joined GOW Recruitment in 2003 on the Finance & Projects desk, and in 2007 moved to Singapore as an Associate Director to help set up the firm's Asia operations. Tim co-founded FJR in Sydney in 2011, and runs the Finance, Projects & IT desk. He regularly travels to Asia-Pac, and brings an extensive network of regional contacts to FJR.
Outside of the office, Tim enjoys time with his family, travel and golf.
Fiona Macartney – Finance, Projects & IT
Fiona has 10 years successful recruitment experience as a specialist within Banking and Financial Services, covering Accounting, Finance and Operations. Fiona has extensive client and candidate networks with numerous leading domestic and international financial services firms, and has managed both Accounting and Operations desks. Fiona joined Fitzgerald Jenkins in 2022, having worked with Brendan and Tim previously for a number of years at GOW.
Outside of work Fiona enjoys tennis, exercising, dining and spending time with her family.
Medi Li – Candidate Resourcer
Medy studies Business Economics & Linguistics at City University of Hong Kong, and has been working as a candidate resourcer at FJR in Sydney in 2024. Medy speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and enjoys the complexity and challenge of the business world and technology.
In her spare time, Medy enjoys music, sport, movies, reading, and travel.
Paula Cantarella – Candidate Resourcer & Administrator
Paula commenced with Fitzgerald Jenkins in 2024 as a Candidate Resourcer and Administrator. Paula hails from Argentina, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering. Paula spent 18 months living and working in the USA, and she brings a high level of customer service and care when liaising with candidates.
Outside of the office, Paula enjoys travel, dancing, and sport.
Kathryn Hamilton – Finance Manager
Kathryn is a Finance Manager with 20 years experience in the financial services recruitment industry. Kathryn has been with Fitzgerald Jenkins since 2011, and is a highly valued member of the team. She is skilled at managing complex payroll and contract requirements in high volumes. Clients and candidates appreciate Kathryn’s warm and personable style.
Outside of the office, Kathryn enjoys fine wine, dining, and the outdoors.
